Withins Skyline 2007
On an Indian Summer's day 17 year old England international Tom Addison was so focused racing it out with the leading senior runners he omitted to turn at the old Haworth boundary Stoop standing stone, which officially is the under 18 turn round point, and went on to win the senior race in a real show of junior talent. Steve Oldfield regained the over 50's trophy with a new course record of 43:56. Vet 60 Dave Tait from Dark Peak also set a new record taking nearly three and a half minutes off Lawrence Sullivan's 1994 time. And Lisa Lacon repeated her 2005 win, with a comfortable margin. Lily McGuinness won the U8 race outright, beating all the boys again, and was the official starter for the Senior race. Philip Done in the U10, Abbey Parkinson in the GU10 and Carly Robertson in the GU14 all set new records.
